Philadelphia running back Boston Scott broke free for a 56-yard touchdown run on Sunday afternoon against the New York Giants, bringing the Eagles to within three points after falling behind 14-3 at halftime.

The carry was only Scott's third of the day, though the back has generally made the most of whatever opportunity he is presented with against New York. In slipping through a crease on the left side of the field and exploding for the score, the halfback not only collected his sixth career touchdown against the Giants, but has now accrued over 400 yards from scrimmage against the Eagles' rival. Playing against New York in late October, Scott similarly made big plays by becoming a fixture in the passing game, averaging over 15 yards per catch and collecting a touchdown in pacing Philly to a one-point victory.

Following Scott's long scamper, the Giants immediately answered with a touchdown of their own, only to see the Eagles come right back down and score again to make it a 21-17 game.
