The 2024 ACM Awards was hosted by Reba McEntire and was aired live on Prime Video from The Star in Frisco, Texas, People said. Luke Combs led the nominations with eight and won Single of the Year for his remake of Fast Car, and followed by Megan Moroney, who won New Female Artist of the Year, and Morgan Wallen with six each.

The top prize, Entertainer of the Year, features seven nominees: Kane Brown, Combs, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Wallen and the only female nominee: Lainey Wilson, won big. She also also won Female Artist of the Year.

Stapleton beat out four other nominees to win Male Artist of the Year, as well as Artist-Songwriter of the Year. His album Higher also won Album of the Year.

Dan + Shay won Duo of the Year, while Old Dominion took the trophy for Group of the Year.

Brown, Jelly, Johnson, McEntire, Wilson, Post Malone, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan, Nate Smith and Avril Lavigne, Parker McCollum, Jason Aldean (who gave a tribute to the late Toby Keith), Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett are among the performers.

Earlier this month, McEntire told the magazine about preparing to host the annual 59th Academy of Country Music Awards for the 17th time. The Queen of Country said she as looking forward to spending the nights with her fellows country musicians.

“I like to go visit with everyone. I love live television. I get to sing a song, see what everybody else is promoting, their new material, but basically just to get to see my old friends and meet new people. I hope everyone tunes in and watches,” she said.

McEntire is set to star in a comedy series on NBC.
