Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, an episodic horror show disguised as a children's show, seems to be gearing for a comeback.
Don't Hug Me I'm Scared is coming to TV
Article Continues BelowThe reveal happened through a new video on the Don't Hug Me I'm Scared channel, the first video to be uploaded on the channel exactly six years ago. The new video features the same characters: Yellow Guy, Red Guy, and Duck, who are seen seated around the table in the first episode. A fly buzzes around, bugging the three, until Duck swats it, calling it a “pesky bee,” a callback to one of the Don't Hug Me I'm Scared episodes. The camera then pans out and shows the three inside a TV set, before a couple of visuals revealed that the show is coming to the telly this September on the British free cable Channel 4.
It's not yet clear, though, if Channel 4 will just be syndicating the six webseries episodes or if an entirely new show will be made. However, given that the original show on Youtube only had six episodes, it's more likely that we'll see either a new season or a reboot of the series. And for the sake of all of us outside the UK, we hope the episodes also make their way to the free internet one way or the other. Either way, we're ready to be frightened all over again by a horror show masquerading as a kid's show.
