Quentin Tarantino has revealed the location he will shoot his final film, The Movie Critic, and it's a no-brainer.

It appears that Tarantino wants a bookend to his feature filmmaking career. He was recently approved for tax incentives by the California Film Commission and will shoot The Movie Critic in Los Angeles.

“I love shooting in California,” Tarantino said. “I started directing movies here and it is only fitting that I shoot my final motion picture in the cinema capital of the world.”

He continued, “There is nothing like shooting in my hometown; the crews are the best I've ever worked with, and the locations are amazing. The producers and I are thrilled to be making [film] #10 in Los Angeles.”

The Movie Critic will be Tarantino's final feature film. Specifics about the project are still being kept under wraps, but it was recently reported that Tarantino offered Emmy nominee (Black Bird) Paul Walter Hauser the lead role.

Quentin Tarantino is one of the most accomplished filmmakers ever. He's known for his works including Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill. His other credits include Reservoir Dogs, Django Unchained, Inglorious Basterds, and The Hateful Eight.

His most recent film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, was a financial and critical success. Set in 1969, the film chronicled the stories of a washed-up actor hitting the twilight of his career and his stuntman, all while the Tate murders loom in the background. The film grossed over $377 million and landed 10 Academy Award nominations that year.

Love him or hate him, Tarantino's final film will once again utilize Los Angeles as its backdrop. Production on the film will likely get into motion once the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes are over.
