Sherlock Holmes is coming to Prime Video with Hero Fiennes Tiffin, who is set to play the inexperienced detective in the new series, Young Sherlock.
Guy Ritchie will be director and executive producer of the eight-episode series, Variety reports. Ritchie directed the Robert Downey Jr.-led movies, where he played Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson, so he's no stranger to the legendary character.
This also brings the director and Tiffin back together. They both worked on the feature The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Additionally, showrunner Matthew Parkhill (Rogue, Deep State) will executive produce it.
Also, Deadline states that Simon Kelton (Eddie the Eagle), Ivan Atkinson (The Gentleman), Simon Maxwell (The Woman in the Wall), Dhana Gilbert (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Colin Wilson (The Mandalorian), and Marc Resteghini will be part of the executive producer team. Harriet Creelman will be the co-executive producer.
