Many fans have wondered if a Suits movie will come to fruition, and the answer seems undetermined. But it's not out of the question.
Deadline reported that during the ATX TV Festival Suits panel, Patrick J. Adams, who played Mike Ross in the popular series, revealed that though it's not a sure thing, it's a possible work in progress.
Will a Suits movie be made?
A fan asked him about the prospects of a Suits movie, and the actor seemed hopeful. However, it sounds like a lot has to happen to get it done.
Adams said, “I am a person of no power or authority, but obviously, there's a Suits: LA show that is being made. That is the focus of Aaron [Aaron Korsh, creator of the series], I think he would agree. But it's definitely something [Korsh] is interested in doing, trying to get the band back together. It's gonna depend on a million things if that can happen, but is it possible.”
There's a lot of interest in whether the rest of the cast would be involved in a film based on the series.
“I'll say as a fan of the USA shows becoming films, I would definitely like to be doing another one,” actor Dulé Hill said, who was also on the panel. Hill played attorney Alex Williams.
When the show was relaunched on Netflix last summer, with the first eight seasons available for streaming, it brought in a legion of brand-new fans. With billions of minutes viewed each week for months, it became at the top of the Nielsen streaming charts for weeks.
The premise of Suits is about a corporate law firm in New York City that follows Ross, a college dropout with a photographic memory who lands a gig working for attorney Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). They win a ton of cases and thrive, all while keeping the secret that Mike never even attended law school.

It premiered on the USA Network on June 23, 2011, and had a solid nine-season run. However, Adamsn and Markle left the show after season 7.
The show was nominated for many awards. Torress was awarded Outstanding Performance in a Television Series at the 2013 NHMC Impact Awards. Meanwhile, Adams was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2012. The show was also nominated for two People's Choice Awards.
As for Suits: LA, it was started thanks to the interest in viewers from Netflix access. The exciting new series will star Stephen Amell as Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who comes to Los Angeles to represent one of the city's biggest clients and reinvent himself.
So, though it's uncertain, there could be a Suits movie. It's uplifting to hear that the cast is all about it. Will it happen? If it's suitable for film, we'll see it.
