Director Zack Snyder doesn't really care what critics have to say.

Whether you're an online troll on Reddit or elsewhere, the Rebel Moon director is not having it, as he discussed for a piece in Men's Health.

Zack Snyder opens up about his critics

In the article, he opens up about the outrageous things he reads about himself and how he responds.

“A lot of intellectuals — I don't know what you would call it, the cinephile-elite-genre-press people — are kind of anti-me for whatever reason,” he said.

From there, he quotes an article about him that said, “Zack Snyder probably masturbates every time he says cut.”

“I was just like, Really? You think that's a cool thing to say? Because you have this perception of me as some sort of supermacho — I don't think I'm a macho dude. I'm interested in masculine tropes. But as tropes,” the director said.

He also feels misunderstood quite often. Snyder went on to say, “[People are] like, ‘Oh, Synder's a fucking male, toxic masculine fuck.' I have fucking nail polish on my fucking thumb, for God's sake.”

If he's so masculine, it will be interesting for his fans to learn that he studied fine art in London and also went to Pasadena's Center College of Design. He's into pottery, too.

Some other revealing takeaways are that he has seven kids from different marriages, and his family lives close to his offices.

Zack Snyder's latest movie, Rebel Moon, will have a limited theatrical release in the U.S. on December 15. It will then be on Netflix on December 22.
