Zootopia Land is set to open at Shanghai Disneyland this December, Variety reported.

This newest addition will be the eighth land inside the theme park.

Zootopia, a Walt Disney Animation Studios movie, was released in 2016. The film was one of the most successful Disney titles in China, grossing over $230 million. A Zootopia sequel is currently in development, according to producer Brad Simonsen.

While there are no confirmed dates for its sequel, Simonsen says that the next film will be “as good or better” than the first.

The seven-year-old theme park's newest attraction will feature Zootopia: Hot Pursuit. Guests can participate in a chase sequence by taking an all-terrain cruiser through Zootopia's districts.

The Zootopia Park Apartments will feature the animal residents such as rabbit police officer Judy Hopps and fox con-artists Nick Wilde and Finnick. They will be seen throughout the day mingling with other characters and guests.

Zootopia Land will also feature Fru Fru's store selling merchandise from the movie, as well as dining options. The section is set to open on Dec. 20, but weeks before Disney cast members and other invited guests will be testing the land's offerings.

The new attraction is said to be “authentically Disney, distinctly Chinese.”

It has also been described as a “fully activated land [that] seamlessly blends Disney’s signature storytelling and creativity with groundbreaking, state-of-the-art technology.”

The Shanghai Disney Resort is a joint venture between Shanghai Shendi Group and The Walt Disney Company. Shendi owns 57% while Disney owns the remaining 43% and 70% of the management company.
