Tobias Harris and Boban Marjanovic of the Los Angeles Clippers took some time out of their day to chat with us during their promotional project with Subway sandwiches to talk about Boban's viral standing dunk during the season-opener, Tobias' notable improvement from the 3-point line and all things Clippers with NBA Twitter darlings Bobi + Tobi.

ClutchPoints: Boban's dunk over Mason Plumlee and Juancho Hernangomez went viral last night, it was all over NBA Twitter and an absolute sensation — what was your initial reaction after an outing like that?

Boban Marjanovic: I really just go along with it, there was nothing mean. It was just a good feeling for me to have the opportunity (to play). It's the basketball life, you never know when you're gonna find yourself out on the floor having that much fun. It was all really, really fun.

Tobias Harris: …and he showed me on his NBA Instagram page how he had 2 million views.

Boban: Almost 3 million.

Tobias: Yeah, almost 3 million views.

How did you guys decide on the Bobi + Tobi Show? Did the idea first spark in Detroit? Or was it something that grew once you guys were traded to L.A.?

Boban: We came up with the idea there, we were like ‘let's do something', but we finished that idea once we were here in L.A. and it was a good opportunity and people liked it. We just came up with it and went for it.

Tobias, you’re a native New Yorker, but you’ve played in different environments since you left high school (University of Tennessee, Milwaukee, Orlando, Detroit) Do you feel this L.A. environment fits you in a way that makes you more comfortable?

Tobias: Yeah, I think it's a great organization that I'm with, it's a great city. I have a lot of fun here, I get to play with Boban and the rest of my teammates. I'm excited for this year and to get everything going.

Tobias, how is your fit with this offense different from what you experienced in Orlando and Detroit?

Boban: He is a good basketball player, a great professional. I think he can fit wherever because he is really great at whatever he does, he's a great professional. He's just a great guy.

Tobias: That's why he's my best friend (laughs). I love the offense here, man, I think it's great for the forwards. I like Doc's system a whole lot, so I feel good here.

You had 19 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks on your season debut last night. You’ve always been a capable rebounder throughout your career, do you feel this is the year you can emerge as a double-double threat on a nightly basis?

Boban: He's a double-double machine.

Tobias: That's one of the emphasis that I've put into this summer — becoming a better rebounder is one of the improvements that I've looked to make.

Boban, do you feel like you have a better opportunity here in L.A. than you’ve had with your two prior teams?

Boban: Yeah, I really do appreciate the chance and getting good minutes has been great. If you're a basketball player your job is to be ready any time you take the court. You practice to be there every time. The one part that is difficult is that one day you might play more and the next day not so much. That's the thing about team sports, realizing you're just a small part of it all. One day it'll be you and the next day will be someone else(‘s chance to play).

Tobias, let’s talk about your 3-point shooting. Looking at you early in your career, you were a low 30s 3-point shooter and you went from being a somewhat reluctant 3-point shooter to teeing up 445 attempts last season and hitting at a 41 percent clip. How does a guy like you go from toeing the waters to a full-fledged and willing 3-point shooter?

Tobias: Just a lot of reps on it and having the confidence. A lot of that (confidence) comes from the reps I've put into the game and I've just been put in good situations to let it fly and I've had the confidence to make them. So I'm looking to even up that more this year.

Is there a special routine you follow in the offseason to sharpen your skills?

Tobias: Not like a special thing. Just practiced game situations with my shots and I tried to improve it by jumping a little bit higher on my jump shot and that was the really big thing that kind of helped it.

The West is known to be a ruthless conference. How do you guys feel you stack up right now against championship contending teams like Houston and Golden State and what do you feel you must do to get there?

Tobias: I just think we gotta build on our chemistry every single day. Obviously the West is getting better, but for us, we just have to compete every night and be ready and at the same time we have be one of the hardest-playing teams that teams are playing against.
