The Atlanta Falcons needed a bit of wide receiver depth behind top receiver Drake London. On Sunday night, they got just that with their latest signing.

The Falcons reached an agreement with former Las Vegas Raiders pass-catcher Mack Hollins, as first reported by CBS Sports' Taylor Vippolis. The contract is for one year and is worth $2.5 million, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.

Hollins enjoyed a breakout season in 2022 with the Raiders. He caught a career-high 57 catches while racking up 690 yards and four touchdowns. The 29-year-old served as the number two receiver behind Davante Adams in Vegas.

In Atlanta, he likely serves the same role behind London. However, there is a chance he sees more of the ball. The Falcons have yet to re-sign Olamide Zaccheaus or Damiere Byrd this offseason.

Hollins entered the league as a fourth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017. He remained with the Eagles until 2019 when he joined the Miami Dolphins.

Hollins was voted as a team captain with the Dolphins in 2021 and even helped them defeat the Raiders that season in a thriller. He signed with the Raiders in 2022, once again being voted a team captain.

His biggest game with the Raiders, unfortunately, came in a loss. The 29-year-old caught eight passes for 158 yards, but the Raiders fell to the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.

The Falcons have added size to their wide receiver group with this move. Furthermore, they added experience and leadership at a position that is likely going to see a few inexperienced faces in 2023. More moves at the wide receiver position could come, but the Falcons have a new top target next to London.
