Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette did not exactly live up to expectations in his second year in the NFL.

After a rookie campaign in which he rushed for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns while hauling in 36 receptions for 302 yards and a score, Fournette totaled just 439 yards and five touchdowns on the ground in 2018, catching 22 passes for 185 yards while reaching the end zone once.

Albeit, injuries limited Fournette to just eight games this past season, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he was thoroughly abysmal, averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and looking out of shape all year long.

So, where should Fantasy Football owners target Fournette heading into 2019?

Well, we need to examine Fournette's rookie season to try and see how good it actually was.

Yes, Fournette accumulated over 1,000 yards, but he did it on a 3.9 yards per carry average, an indication that he was more of a workload than anything else.

And while Fantasy is about volume, you have to wonder if Fournette really has a chance to rush for over 1,000 yards this coming season. It's not like he is running behind a great offensive line, and the Jaguars have virtually no weapons offensively.

Sure, Nick Foles is under center instead of Blake Bortles, which is an upgrade, but who is he throwing to? Jacksonville has Dede Westbrook, Marqise Lee, Chris Conley, and DJ Chark as its main receivers. Out of that group, Westbrook is the only one who seems reliable (and he isn't a No. 1), as Lee is injury-prone, and Conley and Chark are not even remotely proven commodities.

You can make the argument that that means Fournette will get a ton of carries, but again, he is running behind a miserable offensive line, and it's not like the Jags leaning on him worked in 2018.

To be fair to Fournette, basically everything went wrong for the Jaguars this past year, as they won just five games. Bortles was horrendous and lost his job to Cody Kessler at one point, and while the defense was still good, it wasn't nearly as dominant as it was in 2017.

But do we really have any evidence to believe that the Jaguars' offense is going to be that much better this year?

Let's face it: aside from one Cinderella Super Bowl run, Foles has a very limited track record as a starter, and again, the Jaguars simply don't have any scary weapons.

Fournette is actually their biggest name other than Foles, and while he was a great collegiate running back at LSU, he hasn't shown he is all that reliable in the NFL just yet.

Now, the one positive about Fournette is his size, as he is a great goal-line threat at a robust 228 pounds, but the thing is, Jacksonville has to get to the goal line in order for Fournette to actually score touchdowns, and it's hard to see this offense doing that.

It's also not like Fournette is a big-time threat in the passing game, as he wasn't a great pass-catcher in college and has only been so-so in that role on the professional level.

Basically, there are a ton of running backs I would take over Fournette heading into 2019, so you should be looking at him as a late-round pick as a No. 2 back, at best.
