Fortnite Guides: How to unlock the free Secret Sledge Pickaxe

Epic Games likes giving away free stuff to players. Here is how to get free Secret Sledge Pickaxe in Fortnite.

The brand new Covert Ops quests have finally dropped in Fortnite’s most recent game update. Not only do these quests give players a chance to earn more XP, but also a chance at snagging a free pickaxe.

Quests from the Covert Ops challenge will commence starting April 22 until May 2. Take note that each set of challenges will only be available for a limited time. With that being said, if a player misses at least one quest, they will no longer be able to receive the free pickaxe. Make sure to thoroughly analyze the list of dates for each quest so you wouldn’t miss out:

Quest 1 (April 22 – 26)

Stage 1: Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build (Logjam, Sleepy Sound, Tilted Towers, Sanctuary, Greasy Grove, Condo Canyon
Stage 2: Eliminate Players in Zero Build (0/10) Reward: 30,000 XP

Quest 2 (April 26 – 28)

Stage 1: Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build (IO Outposts)
Stage 2: Collect compromised Intel from IO Outposts in Zero Build (0/1) Reward: 30,000 XP

Quest 3 (April 28 – 30)

Stage 1: Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build (Tilted Towers, Daily Bugle, Rocky Reels, Condo Canyon, Coney Crossroads)
Stage 2: Destroy Structures with a Tank in Zero Build (0/300) Reward: 30,000 XP

Quest 4 (April 30 – May 2)

Stage 1: Establish a Device Uplink in Zero Build (Tilted Towers, Rocky Reels, Command Cavern, The Fortress)
Stage 2: Plant timed explosives at an IO Airship, Command Cavern or the Fortress in Zero Build (0/1) Reward: 30,000 XP + Secret Sledge pickaxe
