2021 Call of Duty League defending champion Dallas Empire adds Reece “Vivid” Drost to the team's starting lineup.
After letting benching Huke, Dallas Empire played with Tyler “FeLo” Johnson. With no signs of getting back to the starting lineup, Huke moved on and now plays with LA Thieves. However, ahead of Stage 4, Dallas Empire makes another change to their roster. They signed the young player Vivid and added him to the starting lineup, sending FeLo to the bench.

Fans don't take too kindly to the changes, with many wishing for Huke to come back. Vivid himself is a great competitor but has not proven himself to be of championship material yet. He has shown his skills before, though, just like when he scored 20 kills against Team Envy during COD World League Championship 2019. His twenty kills in that (losing) effort gained him the record of highest kills in a 5v5 Search & Destroy match in professional COD.
Call of Duty League Season 4 Week 1 begins on May 27, with OpTic Chicago playing home until May 30. The last week will be hosted by the LA Thieves from June 10-13. While all teams will end up attending the $500,000 Major, their performance during these three weeks will determine their seedings. The CDL points the teams accumulate during the five seasons of CDL will determine if they get a slot in the CDL Championship.
