Fans of hit gacha action-adventure game Genshin Impact are mad at developers miHoYo for the supposedly lackluster rewards the developers are giving to its fans for Genshin Impact‘s anniversary celebration. This has led disgruntled fans to review bomb the game on the Google Play Store. As a result, Genshin Impact‘s score on the Play Store has fallen drastically. As of press time, the game sits on an average of three stars. At its lowest point, Genshin Impact‘s review rating on the Google Play Store has fallen down to an average of 1.7 stars.

Those who have been dropping these review bombs have also been leaving deprecating remarks towards Genshin Impact and miHoYo. Needless to say, these review bombs have nothing to do with either Arknights or Clash of Clans. There have also been other games that have been reported to be targeted by these furious fans, although not with the same intensity seen by these two.
Genshin Impact‘s anniversary celebration has been seen by the gacha-savvy players to be stingy. Fans accuse miHoYo of forcing fans to work for them for the anniversary, as Genshin Impact has recently opened a cosplay and art contest in celebration of the anniversary. While miHoYo has prepared a concert performance on Sunday, October 3, 2021, to celebrate the anniversary, they seemingly have overlooked the fans' expectations: free Primogems, Intertwined Fates, and 5-Star characters. Perhaps as a response to the maddened fans, Genshin Impact‘s Operations Team has sent a letter to players' inbox, sending 400 Primogems and a free glider skin, as thanks for fans' ‘continuous support of Genshin Impact.' This gift, the first of a series of four, has not been labeled to be a gift for the anniversary celebration, however.
