The Pokemon Company and Niantic's popular augmented reality game, Pokemon GO, has just announced an update for their latest and newest season with two exciting events that are coming this month of September! Pokemon from the Paldea region will finally make their debut in-game and will offer various season effects, event effects, spawn increases in event, new shiny Pokemon, event specific raid battles, and a lot of exciting new features in-game. The new Pokemon that will finally make it to the game includes the three starter Pokemon – Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly alongside other popular Pokemon from the Paldea region such as Lechonk, Pawmot, Baxcaliber, and more!
Paldea Region Pokemon debuts in Pokemon GO
In this new updated season of Pokemon GO, there are two events that have been announced: A Paldean Adventure which will run from September 5, 2023, to September 10, 2023, and Ultra Unlock: Paldea which will run from September 10, 2023, to September 16, 2023.
A Paldean Adventure Details
The Pokmon GO: A Paldean Adventure will run from September 5, 2023, to September 10, 2023. This is where Pokemon from the Paldea region will first make their appearance on the popular augmented reality game brought to you by The Pokemon Company and Niantic. Make sure that you set out capturing one of the starter Pokemon that are featured on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly as well as the lovable and very chonky Pokemon, Lechonk.
Event Effects
During the duration of the event, certain effects are boosted in the game to help commemorate the debut of Paldean Pokemon in the game.

Spawn Increases in Event
In the “A Paldean Adventure” event in Pokemon GO, spawn increases for the following Pokemon will take place. This is the perfect opportunity to capture amazing Pokemon that are both rare and highly capable of battle. This doesn't just stop there as the generation 9 Pokemon starters will make their appearance in the wild and will have an increased spawn rate for the event.

Event Specific Raid Battles

Ultra Unlock: Paldea
After “A Paldean Adventure”, we will be greeted immediately by the “Ultra Unlock: Paldea” event in the game which will run from September 10, 2023, to September 16, 2023. This extends the festivities of the Pokemon hailing from Paldea debuting in the augmented reality game of The Pokemon Company and Niantic. This new season delivered via the Pokemon GO update will surely let Trainers enjoy to the full extent the introduction of the latest generation to this genre and version of the popular video game series.
Event Effects
During the “Ultra Unlock: Paldea” event, Pokemon Trainers will get to enjoy these boosts that will definitely help them progress in the game. The effects are pretty much the same from the previous event and will be retained until the end of this second Paldea-related adventure.

New Pokemon in Event

Event Specific Raid Battles
In the spirit of celebrating the debut and introduction of Paldea Pokemon in Pokemon GO, there will be Unowns that spell out Paldea that can be captured in Event Specific Raid Battles. Other than that, there are pretty powerful Pokemon that you can possibly catch like a Shiny Turtonator, a Shiny Kleavor, Metagross, a Shiny Bombirdier, Shiny Mega Manectric, Celesteela, and Kartana. All of these Pokemon can be taken down and captured thanks to the latest update of Pokemon GO's new season.

It is clear that we are only getting a only a little bit of the generation 9 Paldea Pokemon that are featured in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The Pokemon Company and Niantic definitely will be releasing more Pokemon in the future since we are still missing some key Pokemon from the game like the box legendaries – Miraidon and Koraidon, the legendary Pokemon that are hiding within the different shrines – Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting Lu, and Chi-Yu. There are also Pokemon like Annihilape, Farigiraf, Paldean Tauros, and a lot more that we will probably see in the near future as the Paldea events roll out until December 2023.
