A new PUBG map will be coming this week. Just like the other PUBG maps, the new Taego map is roughly based on real-life locations. Just as how Sanhok is Southeast Asia, Erangel is Russian, and so on, Taego is based on Korean landscapes. But when is the new PUBG Taego map coming out?
PUBG Taego Map Release Date: July 7, 2021
PUBG‘s new map comes out on 1:30 AM PDT on July 7, 2021. This means there isn't much wait left until we get to experience the new update. Taego will be based on Korea, and will be the first 8×8 map since Erangel. Aside from the new map, this new patch actually brings a lot of new content to the game.
The game's 12.2 patch will change things up in the way people play PUBG. Before, getting knocked down without nearby allies will surely spell doom upon any player. However, the new patch will start allowing players to self-revive with a new feature. There will also be new guns you can find in the new Taego map, as well as new vehicles, which will include the Hyundai Pony Coupe.
Meanwhile, the game's trailer also feature Train to Busan and MARVEL‘s Eternals star Don Lee. For the first time, the game will have a real-life star appear in the game. In what form, manner, or reason, we don't know yet. We think that's what makes getting Don Lee exciting – we don't know yet how he'll figure into the game! Will he be a playable skin, a never-before-seen NPC? Who knows?
PUBG servers will go offline at 5:30 PM PDT on July 6, 2021 for server maintenance. Once the servers go back online, then it's time to play some Korean Battle Royale goodness.
