Thelxie's Fantastic Adventures is one of the events added to Genshin Impact on Version 4.2. The event features the diver Freminet in his journey to create Thelxie for his client. In making Thelxie, he will require the Traveler's help with some things. One such thing is Purgation Counterstrike. If you're stuck in the event, don't worry. Purgation Counterstrike Stage 1 Guide – Swirling Vortex's Paean
The event ends on December 11, 2023, at 3:59 AM server time. Make sure to finish the event and collect all of the rewards before the event ends.
Purgation Counterstrike Basics
Purgation Counterstrike is the combat event for the ongoing event. Players have to form a group of up to four characters to take down the stage's enemies. The goal is to gather as many points as possible in each stage. Players receive rewards for getting 2,000, 4,000, and 6000 points. Getting 6,000 points or more will also reward the player with every lower-tier reward. As such, the goal in each stage is to get at least 6,000 points. To make it easier to get points, this guide will assume that the player will select the Big Baddie difficulty, which has a Score Multiplier of x4.
Each stage has a special gimmick, which is in the form of Thelxie's “Water Imp's Chanson”. The Water Imp's Chanson is a special attack that the player can use, originating from Thelxie in the middle of the stage. This changes at every stage. Additionally, to help with team creation, each stage has two pre-built Trial Characters that the player can bring along. The player cannot field two of the same character.

Water Imp's Chanson: Gyre's Praise
- Prince Thelxie unleashes a Gyre attack once every 5s (3 times total), dealing Hydro DMG to opponents hit. When the Gyre attack is released, all characters in the party within the area of effect recover HP equivalent to 25% of that character's max HP, and gain 300 increased Elemental Mastery for 15s.

Possible Team Composition
Based on the fact that Water Imp's Chanson deals Hydro DMG, as well as the fact that Nahida and Nilou are the Trial Characters, it's safe to assume that the game wants the player to run Bloom and its derivatives. This is thanks to Nahida's ability to quickly apply Dendro on everyone, as well as link enemies together for Reactions, as well as Nilou's ability to buff the damage of Dendro Seeds. Here are some possible team compositions for each one:
- Bloom

- Off-field Hydro Character
- Xingqiu, Barabra if F2P
- Yelan or Furina if the player has them
- Dendro Character
- Kaveh, Dendro Traveler, Kiara if F2P

- You will be relying on Nilou's Skill for this one. That skill strengthens the Dendro Seed's explosion damage, while also making it that it explodes almost instantly upon being created. Always top up Nilou's E, then keep creating Dendro Cores to explode on the enemy. Also, remember to use Gyre's Praise whenever possible.

- Use the Dendro characters and Hydro characters to create Dendro Seeds. Once there is enough on-screen, use the Pyro character to constantly create Burgeon reactions. Remember to heal up when needed as this reaction does hurt the player. Also, remember to use Gyre's Praise whenever possible.

- Similar to Burgeon, create Dendro Seeds first. Afterward, use the Electro character to make Hyperbloom reactions. This will increase your Damage output. Also, remember to use Gyre's Praise whenever possible.
