T1 concluded the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring Split 2022 Group Stage by making history. Competing against 9 other teams, they did not drop a single match, ending with a score line of 18-0 and safely securing first place in convincing fashion.
This feat was achieved by the T1 roster comprised of:
- Top Lane: Choi “Zeus” Woo-je
- Jungle: Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon
- Mid Lane: Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
- Bot Lane: Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong
- Support: Ryu “Keria” Min-seok
The team is coached by Choi “Polt” Seong-hun and Kim “moment” Ji-hwan.
This isn't the first time T1, as an organization, has broken LCK records. In the LCK Summer 2015, the team then known as SK Telecom T1 set a record at 17-1. While they did break the record for most match wins in a season (and going undefeated), T1 did drop several games, resulting in a 36W-7L game standing and +29 points by the end of the season. The same SK Telecom T1 roster in Summer 2015 achieved +29 points at the end of that split. DAMWON Gaming KIA also ended LCK Summer 2020 with +29 points. Both teams eventually went on to win their respective World Championships in those years.
What makes this even more amazing is that this split was the 18-year old Zeus' first time on the LCK stage. Zeus isn't alone in his age group either, most of T1's roster are quite young. Oner is 19 years old, Gumayusi is 20, and Keria is 19. With veteran Faker at the helm, this young roster surely has a bright future ahead of them.
It's not all business when T1's on the Rift. They also know when to have fun and pick niche champions. Despite their historic run, they keep looking for ways to innovate their games instead of sticking to their guns.

Some may say this achievement by T1 has an asterisk on it, since several of their opponents had to call up some players from their Challengers roster due to COVID-19 issues. At one point, T1 had to face Fredit Brion's full Challengers team, as their starting LCK roster all had COVID-19 related problems. Nevertheless, T1's feat is still impressive, and the roster looks to be on their top form.
