Genshin Impact‘s Labyrinth Event may have trapped us in a maze of unending battles. The next one, though, sets us out to explore the outdoors. The Shadow of the Ancients event sends us to Tsurumi Island, the fourth and final island we can explore in Inazuma. But those who are venturing to the island for the first time might find it hard to progress through the quest. After all, there's a fog that shrouds the island, blocking the player's progress when they try to venture further inland. With our Tsurumi Island guide, we'll help players get through the Tsurumi Island fog and find the Ruin Grader to get the quest going.

How to get through Tsurumi Island's fog and find the Ruin Grader

To get to Tsurumi Island, the player will have to ride the Waverider. With the sea vessel, venture southwest from Seirai Island. You'll eventually hit the fog, and you'll be teleported to one of two islands not covered by the fog. After getting displaced, you'll find yourself in front of a Statue of the Seven. Activate it to unlock an Achievement and get a couple of Primogems.

Venturing any further inland will result in the fog enveloping your surroundings and sending you back in front of the Statue. This prevents you from exploring the rest of the island until you clear the fog. To progress further, head to the Waverider Waypoint south of the Statue. Ride the Waverider and head southeast, avoiding the fog. Stay on the far east side of the waters until you're directly West of the objective marker. Then, head East until you hit land.

Now that you're here, you'd easily be able to reach the objective marker and activate the Teleport Waypoint. You'll also find a Ruin Grader on the island that Paimon will ask you to defeat. After taking care of the Ruin Grader, return to Katherine in Inazuma to progress the story. This will unlock the progression of Shadow of the Ancients, which you'll need to complete to clear the fog of the island.
