Eli Manning knows a thing or two about great talent. After all, the New York Giants lifer has played with many elite talents in his storied career. He's played with such talents like prime Odell Beckham Jr., Plaxico Burress, and Saquon Barkley. Manning knows what a great football player looks like.

Eli Manning's championship pedigree gives his statement about Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant's chances in the NFL more weight. After meeting with Durant in MetLife Stadium, the Giants legend dropped a truth bomb on the latter's chances in the gridiron.

Perhaps this compliment from Eli will finally wash the sting of Peyton Manning's epic roast of Durant in the 2017 ESPYs…

It's hard not to see why Manning would say this about Kevin Durant. At nearly seven-feet tall with a freaking wingspan and the athleticism of a guard, the Nets star would be a terrifying wide receiver. Good luck trying to get an interception on this guy when he can just lob it over and he'd catch it easily over everyone else's heads. Perhaps the Giants could try poaching him from the Nets? He's a better option than some of the wideouts on the team.

Unfortunately for Giants fans, there's no way that the Nets allow Kevin Durant to pursue an NFL career. KD has had to shoulder a huge burden for Brooklyn this season, as James Harden has been struggling and Kyrie Irving is still banished until he gets a COVID vaccine. Besides, Durant has shown multiple times that he loves basketball more than anything. Barring an enormous deal, there's no shot that we see KD in the NFL gridiron.
