Eli Manning returned to the gridiron in Week 14, starting in a New York Giants loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on “Monday Night Football.” With rookie quarterback Daniel Jones not quite healed from his high ankle sprain, the 38-year-old will start again on Sunday, in a home game against the Miami Dolphins.

Many believe that Sunday's tilt with the Dolphins will be his last NFL home game. His former teammate wide receiver Plaxico Burress is not one of those people.

“I don't think it's the end of the road,” recently said Burress, via TMZ. “That's my main man. That's my homeboy. It won't be the last you see of him. I'll tell you that.”

Burress and Manning played together for four seasons. In that span, the two won a Super Bowl XLII, a game in which the receiver caught the game-winning pass. He hauled in 244 receptions for 3,681 yards and 33 touchdowns as a member of the G-Men.

When Manning ultimately decides to hang up his cleats, Burress believes there will be a spot waiting for him in the Hall of Fame.

“First ballot, no doubt about it,” said Burress “How is he not? Two Super Bowls, Two (Super Bowl) MVPs… how many QBs have done it?”

Manning is a free agent after the season. The general belief is that he will retire. If he chooses to stick around, it likely won't be in New York. The Giants drafted the aforementioned Jones with No. 6 overall pick of the most recent draft, indicating they'd like him to be their quarterback of the future.
