New York Giants head coach Joe Judge has endured a disappointing tenure during his first two seasons at the helm of the team. He's amassed a dismal 10-19 record thus far into his first two years as the Giants head coach and rumors have made the rounds regarding his job security come the season's end.
Well, Giants fans hoping to see Judge ousted after this season may be disappointed. Per SNY's Ralph Vacchiano, Judge is expected to be brought back for a third season in New York, despite his tough start to life as the team's head coach.
'I’m not interested in quick fixes. I want to do this the right way.'

General Manager John Mara was very displeased that the Giants had gone through three head coaches in a four-year span, and thus vowed to exercise more patience when bringing Judge on board. Vacchiano reports that Mara seems likely to stick to his guns regarding that sentiment, indicating one league source told him that Mara “loves” Judge, likening the head coach to legends such as Bill Belichick or Bill Parcels.
After clinching their fifth straight losing season, Giants faithful may be hoping for changes to the coaching staff, but based on Vacchiano's report, that doesn't seem likely to happen any time soon.
Judge also seems to feel confident in his long-term future with the organization. Vacchiano reported that Judge spoke in a conference call with media members and suggested he plans to stick around.
“I’ve said this from the beginning: I’m not interested in having some kind of quick flash,” Judge said. “I’m not interested in shortcuts. I’m not interested in quick fixes. I want to do this the right way. When I took this job I made it very, very clear that I was only going to do this if we’re all committed to doing this the right way.”
Judge was well aware this wasn't going to be a quick fix when stepping in as head coach of the Giants, and he claims the team assured they would exercise patience. The organization appears to be doing just that, even at the displeasure of the fanbase.
