Their three-point shooting was lights-out and they'll hope to give Lithuania a run for their money here.

Lithuania comes into the Second Round following a dominant 91-71 win over Montenegro as they locked up their group. Why Greece Will Cover The Spread

Greece squeaked into the Second Round by the smallest of margins as they sat on the brink of elimination for the majority of their game on Wednesday. New Zealand played very hard and caught Greece off-guard. It took an inspired effort from their defense and three-point shooter to bring them back to the lead and close this game out. Greece has been on the right end of some close matchups this tournament, but they'll have to play their best game yet to have a chance against Lithuania.

While they beat New Zealand, we can't overlook the fact that they were down for much of that game and started extremely slow. They were the much better team skill-wise, but their energy has lacked at the start of games. Greece was lifted by their fans and if it wasn't for the clutch threes made by Larentzakis late in the fourth, they may not be at this stage here. To have any sort of chance during their next few games, Greece will have to start fast and keep their energy high the entire game.

Why Lithuania Will Cover The Spread

Lithuania has been cruising through this tournament so far and have stayed perfect at 3-0 while outscoring opponents by 76 combined points in those contests. They have a great mix of experience and young talent on their team this year and they're poised to make a deep run in this tournament. They've shot right around 30% from three in each one of their contests and can spread the floor with their shooting big men. Jonas Valanciunas continues to be their driving force inside and he's coming off another solid performance.

Lithuania will be the bigger team inside and should use their size to physically bully Greece in the paint. Greece is coming off an inspired performance that took every ounce of heart to win and advance. Lithuania, on the other hand, has had an extra day of rest and practice while gearing up for this matchup. If they can continue to play their brand of basketball while working the ball inside, they should be able to cover easily.

Final Greece-Lithuania Prediction & Pick

This should be a fairly competitive game with how motivated Greece was in their last win. However, the reality is still that they went down to the wire with a relatively weak New Zealand team. Lithuania is a level above in terms of skill and depth through all five positions, so it's clear why they're the favorites here. For our prediction, let's go with Lithuania to cover in this game. Greece will make it close at points of the game, but the consistency of Lithuania will ultimately prove to be the difference.

Final Greece-Lithuania Prediction & Pick: Lithuania -6.5 (-122)
