Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant hasn't played since November 26th because of a knee injury and to make matters worse, he's now heading into the league's health and safety protocols.

Via Shams Charania of The Athletic:

The Grizzlies guard has no timetable for return from the knee problem, but he's expected to play again at some point this season. Interestingly enough, Ja is fully vaccinated and already received his booster shot as well, per Woj:

We don't know for sure if it was possibly a false positive, but that should be revealed soon. It's definitely far from ideal for Morant, who was in the midst of a terrific campaign. Before suffering the knee sprain, the former Rookie of the Year was averaging a career-high 24.1 points while also grabbing 5.6 rebounds and dishing out 6.8 assists.

He took a hard fall against the Hawks in late November and didn't return. There was a belief that it could be a lot more serious, but thankfully, Ja didn't tear his ACL. The Grizzlies have actually been playing fantastic without their franchise superstar though, winning five straight and most recently beating the Miami Heat on Monday night.

Let's hope Morant is back with the Grizzlies sooner rather than later. Despite their recent success, they're undoubtedly a much better team with him leading the way.
