The Memphis Grizzlies are officially listing Ja Morant as doubtful for Game 4 of their series against the Golden State Warriors.

Memphis did not specify Morant's injury or its severity, though everyone knows he's dealing with a right knee issue after he got hurt during Saturday's game. The Grizzlies are blaming Jordan Poole for the injury, with video replays showing how the Warriors guard grabbed the knee of the All-Star guard before he was forced off the floor in the fourth quarter.

Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins already indicated earlier on Sunday that it's unlikely Ja Morant will be able to suit up on Monday because of the issue. He is currently undergoing treatment, and given that there is only a one-day gap between Games 3 and 4, it's hard to determine if he can be ready for the crucial showdown.

A “doubtful” designation doesn't mean Moran is out, although there is a bigger chance that is the case. Still, as what fans have seen in the playoffs, some teams use it as some sort of gamesmanship to surprise opponents. Remember how Devin Booker and Joel Embiid were listed as doubtful before a game only to see them suit up?

Surely, Grizzlies fans are hoping that's the case. The fact that the Grizzlies are also not disclosing his injury could indicate they are using it as a strategy as well.

But then again, here's to hoping that Morant's injury is not serious.
