The Memphis Grizzlies are basketball entertainment at its finest, so Ja Morant wasn’t really surprised when he broke various social media records for the NBA during his 52-point explosion against the San Antonio Spurs.
As reported earlier, Morant’s career game on Monday generated a ton of traffic for NBA social. In fact, his buzzer-beating alley-oop off a full-court inbound pass from Steve Adams became the most-viewed Instagram video of the NBA 42.1 million views.
Overall this 2021-22 season, contents about Morant have driven 385 million views to NBA social media, only behind the likes of Stephen Curry and LeBron James. Being mentioned in the same breath as those two speaks volume on how impactful the 22-year-old All-Star has been to the league.
However, Morant is not one bit shocked that people are talking about them–like BY A LOT. He knows what the Grizzlies are capable of, and as he described them, they are “must-see TV,” per Meghan Triplett of Grind City Media.

Indeed, Ja Morant and the Grizzlies deserve all the attention they are getting. No one expected them to compete for the top seed in the West this 2021-22, yet here they are at third and chasing for that No. 1 spot.
It is also evident that they enjoy playing alongside each other. It has been a common theme for them to celebrate each other’s success, which shows great team chemistry. No wonder they have been thriving even during the bad days of their star players.
The Grizzlies are virtually assured of a playoff spot already, and there is no doubt everyone will have their eyes peeled on them as they continue to surprise the rest of the NBA.
