The Memphis Grizzlies have been playing some great basketball without their Superstar Ja Morant. They are 5-0 on the season without him and only 9-10 with him on the court. Charles Barkley was making his case that the Grizzlies could potentially trade the young star but Kenny Smith didn't like that idea and shut it down real quick.

Charles Barkley had this to say,

“They're playing great defense without Ja Morant.”

Kenny quickly interrupted and said,

“They're not trading Ja Morant.”

This was clearly a joke between the two, but it was funny because Barkley does say some interesting things at times. The Grizzlies would never trade Morant unless for some reason he started playing much worse than he ever has. He has been sensational for the Grizzlies for the past two seasons and has continued his success throughout the year.

On the season he is averaging 24.1 points per game and 6.8 assists. He is top 15 in the NBA in points, assists, and PER. The Grizzlies' success last season can all be attributed to how well Ja Morant played. In his absence, the Grizzlies have gotten some players to step up and help them win five games in a row.

If they all can continue to play like this when Morant comes back, the Grizzlies might be a team to watch out for in the Western Conference playoffs. They have the superstar that they need to go out and drop almost 30 points per game and they also have a few interesting bench pieces and role players who can help contribute to this team.
