The Memphis Grizzlies enjoyed a phenomenal 2021-22 season, claiming the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference after posting an improbable 56-26 record. After turning heads last year, the Grizzlies are hoping to run it back next year and improve upon the terrific campaign. In doing so, the Grizzlies have rewarded head coach Taylor Jenkins with a brand new contract that will span multiple seasons, per Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jenkins was terrific in his role with the Grizzlies last season. Memphis' 56-26 record was second in all of the NBA, trailing only the Phoenix Suns. They managed that remarkable feat despite being without superstar point guard Ja Morant for a significant chunk of the season. During the span without Morant on the court, the Grizzlies not only held their own, but they actually played even better. While much of the credit should be given to the guys on the court, it's impossible to deny how much of an impact Jenkins has had on this franchise since taking over as head coach in 2019.

Jenkins is one of the youngest head coaches at 37 years old, but his team has bought into his philosophy and the results are plain to see. The future is bright in Memphis, and Jenkins figures to be there to oversee the process.
