The Memphis Grizzlies finally did it. After 11 consecutive losses, the Grizzlies finally got themselves a much-needed 95-92 win at home over the Minnesota Timberwolves to snap their horrific skid. Marc Gasol delivered a team-high 21 points, while Tyreke Evans added 16 points, five rebounds, and nine assists.

Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley, unfortunately, did not play a part in the win as he remains sidelined with an Achilles problem. But even as a spectator, Conley was quick to share his relief to the world that his team’s losing streak is no more.

Apart from God, though, Conley should also give some thanks to the wildly inconsistent Timberwolves, who have been unable to put together a streak of any kind over the past few weeks. With that loss to the Grizzlies, the Timberwolves have not won or lost back-to-back games since dropping two in a row on Nov. 19-20.

Now that their losing skid is history, the Grizzlies will have a chance to score their first winning streak in over a month when they face the injury-riddled New York Knicks on Wednesday. With some divine intervention, Mike Conley can hopefully get back onto the court and help his team get a lot more wins sooner rather than later.
