Kevin McCallister is no longer the only Kevin to go on a wild Christmas trip. Atlanta Hawks guard Kevin Huerter can now say he has done the same, though his journey won't make for a movie as well as McCallister's did.

After landing in the NBA's health and safety protocols, Huerter was one of several Hawks to be ruled out for their Christmas Day matinee against the New York Knicks. According to him, he had to drive all the way back to Atlanta from New York City to quarantine.

The drive NYC to ATL is approximately 13 hours before factoring in traffic from holiday travels. That has to be a brutal drive for Huerter, especially if he had to do it alone and on Christmas Eve. If any of the other nine Hawks players were ruled out at the same time he was, maybe he got to road trip with a teammate or two.

This season for the Hawks, Huerter is averaging 10.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 28 games.

This season, like Huerter's drive back to Atlanta, has been brutal for the Hawks. They enter their Christmas game with a 15-16 record after a run to the Eastern Conference Finals. With Trae Young in health and safety protocols, there isn't a great chance for the Hawks to right the ship.

As the Hawks and Knicks kick off the NBA's slate of Christmas games, Huerter will likely be catching up rest after his excruciating drive.
