Atlanta Hawks second-year point guard Trae Young drew attention and national headlines in recent days due to his performative “nutmegs” — deliberate crossover dribble moves to disorient his defenders. One such opponent who didn't like the move was Portland Trail Blazers wing Trevor Ariza, as he didn't take the dribble move too kindly and instantly fouled the 21-year-old former Oklahoma Sooner standout.

Young, an All-Star starter on Team Giannis in just his second NBA season, took to social media to express his fondness for nutmegging once again.

Young was selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, but he was eventually traded to the Hawks in the already-iconic draft night deal for Luka Doncic.

Both Young and Doncic have already been anointed All-Stars in the NBA in their sophomore campaigns this season, with Doncic winning last year's Rookie of the Year and the Hawks floor general coming up in second.

Young's swagger on the hardwood has produced multiple highlights, and despite Atlanta's basement-dwelling record this season, Trae has been essential to the team having any chance to win a ball game on a nightly basis. His All-Star selection was criticized by several players and pundits due to how badly the Hawks are playing, but by the numbers Young is putting up, he would have been disrespected otherwise.

Speaking of disrespect, Trae Young doesn't feel it's rude to embarrass opponents on the court with his now-signature nutmeg move.
