After an up-and-down week where it seemed like free-agent guard Dwyane Wade was going to re-sign with the Miami Heat for one last season, the Heat organization and Wade have disputed all claims that a deal has been completed.

Tuesday, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 came out with a report that Wade was returning.

After gaining some traction on the internet, the tweet was rejected by Wade himself, who seems still unsure if he would like to return to the NBA.

Yahoo Sports' Jordan Schultz further backed Wade's claim, relaying a correspondence with a Heat team source that made it clear there is no done deal at this point.

Wade had several options in free agency. He was offered a large contract from the CBA team Zhejiang Golden Bulls, but he has since come out and said that if he plays professional basketball next season, it will be with the Heat.

As of now, the Heat have constructed a solid roster, albeit void of a superstar player who could be the face of the franchise.

Even without this superstar, the Heat played to a 44-38 record last season, good enough for a sixth seed in the East. In the first-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers, they looked overmatched but managed to steal one game, largely because of a spectacular performance from Wade, who led both teams in scoring with 28 points.

Adding Wade for a retirement season seems like it could benefit both sides, and it would be great to see Wade in a Heat jersey for at least one more season. Hopefully, a contract agreement comes soon.
