Dwyane Wade felt his comeback with the team he gave 13 seasons to, the Miami Heat, has been the result of perfect timing, after being traded for a second round pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In his short time back in South Beach, Wade has hit a game-winner and felt the love from his beloved American Airlines Arena, the place he called home for such a long time.

The 6-foot-4 shooting guard had no idea he would land back in familiar waters this soon, only a season-and-a-half removed from his falling out with president Pat Riley in 2016.

“Nah. I mean, when I made the decision to go to Cleveland, I didn’t think it would be this season,” Wade said of his comeback, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com. “Definitely, I knew, I always wanted it to be one day. I think it was just perfect timing, too. It was just right, the timing to come back.”

“Everything works out in its weird ways. I definitely think the timing was better than if I had come back at the beginning of the year. For the city, the state and the team, I felt like my leadership, my voice, my face was needed at that time I came back.”

Wade is thriving in a role off Erik Spoelstra's bench and making the most of it as a veteran leader of this team, putting up three 20-point games in his 12 games since being back with the team, matching the same amount he had in 46 games with the Cavs.
