Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade says he won't be swayed by Heat president Pat Riley to play another season after this year.

Wade announced before the season started that this will be his last year in the NBA. During a Veteran's Day event, Riley said he has to get Wade to play another three more years so the future Hall of Famer can get to 40. Friday was the first time Wade heard that comment by Riley.

“Didn't hear that,” Wade said, via Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel. “I appreciate him thinking that. Could I be swayed? I don’t think so. Not at this point. It's always a chance of everything. I know the chance is very, very, very, very, very slim. I've got my mind made up.

“I'm just going to finish this year out. I want to get back into the groove I was in before I left, just for my body feeling great, and just continue to enjoy the game and play the game the way I know I can, even at this age, even in my role, even in my minutes. I'm committed to this being my last dance.”

Dwyane Wade recently returned to the team after tending to his wife and newborn baby girl. In 10 games this season, Wade is averaging 13.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists while shooting 43.6 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from beyond the arc and 58.6 percent from the free-throw line coming off the Heat's bench.

Miami is struggling at 6-11 this season. Wade is back in his hometown of Chicago to face the Bulls on Friday night.
