Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic suffered a sprained ankle on Tuesday against the Boston Celtics.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Dragic's X-ray was negative.

The Heat's next game is on Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks, who have the best record in the NBA. It's unknown if Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra will play Dragic in that contest, as he has to see how Dragic's ankle responds in the next two days.

Miami defeated the Celtics without All-Star small forward Jimmy Butler, who is dealing with an ankle injury as well. Dragic played 28 minutes and finished with 20 points, three rebounds and three assists. It was an impressive win for the Heat that saw them improve to 43-25 on the season.

Dragic entered Tuesday averaging 16.2 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists for the Heat. The lefty has plenty of playoff experience under his belt, so he is expected to play a vital role for Miami once the postseason begins.

In 35 postseason games, Dragic has career averages of 12.7 points and 3.2 assists with the Phoenix Suns and Heat.

Although most pundits believe the Bucks are going to win the Eastern Conference this season, the Heat could have something to say about that when it's all said and done, especially with Butler and Bam Adebayo leading the way.
