Miami Heat small forward Jimmy Butler doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with his demeanor or past actions because he cares about winning and works harder than anyone else.

Butler has a reputation as a locker room chemistry killer. In fact, he had issues with all of his past teams, the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers.

However, Butler seems to fit in perfectly with the Heat since everyone on the team works just as hard as he does.

“Get your ass up with me and come train at 5,” Butler told Andrew Sharp of Sports Illustrated. “You’ll be pissed off when other people don’t do what they need to do to be great. You’ll be pissed off, too.”

Fans have to remember where Jimmy Butler is coming from. This is a guy who was kicked out of his house as a kid and worked his tail off to get to the NBA.

The new Heat star worked so hard for everything he has gotten, so when he sees other players not working as hard as him, he’s going to have a problem with it and let people know.

Butler is averaging 20.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game on the season for the Heat. He’s shooting 45.2 percent from the field, 24.6 percent from beyond the arc and 83.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Butler’s hard-nosed style of play and personality is perfect for the Heat since president Pat Riley loves that type of basketball. All the players in Miami are aware that Jimmy Butler won’t be afraid to call them out if he sees something he doesn’t like and they never take offense to it.
