The Miami Heat shocked everyone in Game 3 when they ruled out star Jimmy Butler in the second half due to injury. Butler seemed like he was playing fine in the first half. That's why everyone was surprised when he was taken out of the game entirely due to “right knee inflammation”.

There were fears that Jimmy Butler would miss significant time in the playoffs due to the injury. Thankfully for Heat fans, that may not be the case. Chris Haynes reported that the organization believes that Butler's knee issue isn't serious, and that he is unlikely to miss any time due to the injury.

That's a big sigh of relief for Heat fans. They were able to snag victory in Game 3, at the very least. However, it became clear towards the end of the game that they needed Butler's presence badly. An ailing offense allowed the Celtics to come back into the game in the fourth quarter. They would hang on to win, but it looked scary for a moment there without their big star to help them win.

The Heat looked to be getting healthy at the right time, too. Kyle Lowry and PJ Tucker were able to return from their injuries in time for Game 3. If Butler returns to form for the next few games, they have a fighting chance at making it back to the Finals and a shot at redemption for them. We'll see if they can handle business against the Celtics in Game 4 in just a few days.
