With all this talk about recruitment and wanting to play with other great players around the league, LeBron James vows that he'll do everything he can to help the Lakers get free agents to come play in Southern California. According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers forward also told Rachel Nichols in an interview that it was easy to get players to come to Miami, where he won two NBA championships in four seasons.

“It wasn't hard getting guys in Miami, I'll tell you that,” James said.

Prior to those comments, James said that it was much more difficult to get guys to come play with him in Cleveland. In his first stint with the Cavaliers, James already tried to recruit some big names to join him, but no marquee names ever joined the Akron-native.

With his stint in Miami, however, James was able to recruit solid role players like Ray Allen, Shane Battier, Mike Miller, and Chris Andersen, among others. Those players proved to be great additions for Miami at the time as they were key pieces in their back-to-back title runs in 2012 and 2013.

In the interview, James also said that he does not foresee having a hard time in recruiting guys to come to Los Angeles. Both the Lakers and Heat are situated in big markets that attract a lot of media and tourism. Thus, it's easy to see why players choose these teams as their top destination.

Moreover, the Los Angeles Lakers is perhaps the most storied franchise in the NBA. A lot of stars and legends have donned the purple and gold over the years. In fact, in just his first year with the franchise, James has already attracted several veteran free agents to come play with him, though they aren't necessarily the big names that Lakers fans prefer.

Now, with the NBA's marquee player openly recruiting guys to join the NBA's marquee team, it'll be hard for players to turn down The King's pitch.
