Jimmy Butler is the heart and soul of the Miami Heat. Bam Adebayo anchors their defense, Goran Dragic owns the most Heat franchise cache thus far, and Tyler Herro has the most… swag. But Jimmy Buckets is the Heat.

That statement held true as he carried Miami to the NBA Finals last season, and just 2 games away from upsetting LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. It also holds true this year, as he's put in a horrendous effort in their first two games against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Through Games 1 and 2, Jimmy Butler is averaging 13.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game against the Bucks. But it's his efficiency that's gone in the toilet. He's shooting 25% from the field, 22.2% from three-point range, and an equally gnarly 64.3% from the free throw line on 7.0 attempts.

With his underperformance, he owns the worst plus/minus on the entire Heat squad. It's a testament to how much Miami goes as far as Butler can take them.

It doesn't help that his Heat running mate Adebayo has also struggled, making just nine of his 26 shots attempts through two games. He's done a relatively okay job defending Giannis Antetokounmpo, dropping his shooting efficiency to 44% from the field as well, but he still has 57 points in the first two games combined. That's more than Adebayo and Butler's combined total of 52.

The Miami Heat are facing a 0-2 hole in this best-of-seven series. If their stars don't find their footing by Game 3, this could be over much sooner than anyone expected.
