The Miami Heat are currently the best team in the East record-wise, but none of their players made it as an All-Star starter for the 2021-22 festivities. Now, Erik Spoelstra is hoping the likes of Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo will make it as reserves alongside Jimmy Butler.
Butler is largely expected to make the All-Star game, but there are questions whether other Heat players will be named into the teams given the tight competition in the East.
For Spoelstra, however, he definitely thinks he has multiple All-Stars. For one, Herro has been phenomenal for the Heat this season and has a strong case to make it to game.

I think it would be great for the narrative of that you can still accomplish individual goals if the team is successful and even if you're coming off the bench. There's a lot of strong opinions and narratives out there that you have to be X, Y, Z to be considered a great player. I just think it's a bunch of BS. It's about impacting winning. Tyler's been able to do that and we view him as our sixth starter anyway.”
Tyler Herro is averaging 20.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists for the Heat this campaign. He is also shooting an efficient 42.4 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from deep, all while just starting 10 of the 41 games he has played in.
The 22-year-old has been pivotal for the Heat, and it is safe to say Miami wouldn't be at the top of the East without him. He has saved the team countless times this year, and there is no doubt he has been largely overlooked despite his contributions to the team.
Hopefully, though, Herro gets his chance to play with the best of the best. After all, as Erik Spoelstra said it, he has undoubtedly worked hard for it.
