Throughout his 13-year NBA career, Charlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard has only knocked down five 3-pointers. He rarely attempts and makes them, but when he does, it’s a special moment. On Tuesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers, he made the sixth of his career, as he drilled a wide-open 3-pointer and beating the halftime buzzer in the process.

It even appeared to be something he does regularly, as he had a good form, and hit nothing but net. The crowd inside Spectrum Center erupted after witnessing it, and Howard blew them a kiss to let them know he appreciated their cheers for him.

The Hornets are currently in 10th place in the Eastern Conference and are six games out of the eighth-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.

While it’s a tall order for them to still make it to the playoffs, it’s definitely not entirely impossible, especially with Dwight Howard playing very well of late. He has also not missed a game so far this season, which is a testament to how he has taken care of his body and remained healthy.

A win on the night will be just what the doctor ordered for the team, and will be a huge boost for their players. Winning against the playoff-bound team like the 76ers will also give them a lot of confidence, which will help them have more belief that they can string a lot of wins together in order to make the postseason and give them a chance to contend for the title.
