Dwight Howard has bounced around the NBA since leaving the Orlando Magic and for whatever reason, he just hasn't seemed to be able to find a home.

He has seemed to be a good fit with the Charlotte Hornets since coming over in a trade during the offseason from the Atlanta Hawks.

He has kept his name out of the media for the wrong reasons and seems to just be focusing on playing basketball. Dwight Howard also seems to be enjoying his new home and has said he wants to be back next year.

For Howard, he still has one year left on a three-year deal he originally signed with the Atlanta Hawks. During the 2018-19 season, he is in line to make $23,819,725. The Hornets have made no indications that they want to move on from Howard, but with Mitch Kupchak coming in as the new General Manager of the team, he could decide the team wants to go a different direction.

Howard played 81 of the 82 games this year for the Hornets with the only game he missed coming because of a suspension. He averaged 16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game. He shot 55.3 percent from the field with most of his scoring coming from inside the paint. His free throw percentage also improved a bit this year going up to 57.4 percent from the charity stripe.

He is getting up there in age, but he has shown that he still has a place in the NBA and the Hornets would probably be smart to keep him around at least for the next year.
