The Charlotte Hornets fell to the Miami Heat 104-86 on Saturday night. With that loss, the Hornets are on a four-game losing skid and have slid down to the 9th spot in the eastern conference.

It was just a rough shooting stretch and sloppy turnovers that led to the Hornets downfall, but that wasn't even the major story of the game. James Bouknight appeared to get into it on the bench with head coach James Borrego.

No one is sure what was said between the two, but LaMelo Ball had to hold back Bouknight before he was taken to the locker room by an assistant coach. James Borrego did comment on the situation after the game.

“He got a little emotional there. Beyond that I'll leave it there. Obviously, he's in a tough spot, he wants to play. I get that. He's a kid we believe and trust in. We're gonna find more minutes for him. It's just two competitors trying to help this team.”

Bouknight hasn't seen the floor a lot this season. Being a rookie in the NBA doesn't exactly guarantee you playing time, even if you are a high draft pick. Unlike his peers in his draft class, Bouknight goes multiple games without seeing the floor. It's normal to be frustrated if you're in his shoes. It doesn't help when your team isn't winning games at the moment either. The Hornets have struggled to put points up on the board in general.

Miles Bridges has hit a little bit of a shooting slump himself in the last few games. He was on the bench when the altercation between his teammates and head coach got into their verbal spat. He had this to say:

“Everyone on this team loves each other. It's not hard for us to stay together. I'm not worried about that. We just gotta grind it out. This season is going to have its ups and downs. Right now, we're at one of the downs. We're trying to get back up.”

When you are losing games, it's hard to see the positives out of situations like that one. Whatever it was that took place between those two, is good. It shows the world that Bouknight could be talking about how he can make a difference out there. Maybe he felt as if he could of turned the game on its head and lead a comeback. On the other side for coach Borrego, it should show fans that Bouknight may not be ready yet. He is still ripe and at times, can be a defensive liability.

There's no telling what was said on that sideline, but they will be fine. The Hornets have the Toronto Raptors coming to town on Monday and are looking to break this four-game losing skid. Hopefully, they can get it done.
