LaMelo Ball has now missed three straight games for the Charlotte Hornets due to lingering ankle and wrist injuries. At this point, the All-Star point guard seems like he's poised to sit out a fourth straight contest when the Hornets take on the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night.

LaMelo Ball injury status vs. Bulls

It comes as no surprise that the Hornets have once again listed LaMelo as questionable to play against the Bulls. He suffered a right ankle sprain a week ago, and he has yet to fully recover from the knock. On top of the ankle problem, the 21-year-old is also dealing with a sore left wrist, which has clearly impeded his return to action as well.

Ball was also tagged as questionable on Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns and he ended up getting ruled out prior to tip-off. Unless there is a significant development in his recovery within the next 24 hours, we expect the same case for him on Thursday against the Bulls.

Gordon Hayward is also still on the injury report for the Hornets, with the former All-Star also questionable to play with a left hamstring strain. Both Cody Martin (knee soreness) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (left hand surgery) remain out for Charlotte as well.

LaMelo's brother, Lonzo Ball, is likewise still sidelined for the Bulls as he recovers from surgery in his left knee. Joining him on the sidelines for Chicago will be Goran Dragic (non-COVID illness) and Javonte Green.

Without LaMelo Ball in the mix, the 13-36 Hornets are expected to struggle mightily against a Bulls side that is looking to contend for a playoff spot in the East.
