The Howard University Bison steamrolled Robert Morris University 35-10 in a bounce-back win with Ian Wheeler leading the way with 215 all-purpose yards and Quinton Williams throwing for 170 yards off of 13 pass completions.  Robert Morris gained only 178 yards through the air with Anthony Chiccitt completing 25 of 39 passing and throwing one touchdown and one interception.

The Bison came off of a disappointing loss to rival school Hampton University as the Pirates came back from being down by double digits to take that victory from the Bison. In this affair, graduate quarterback Quinton Williams through an eight-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Nah'shawn Hezekiah to cap off an 11-play, 62-yard drive.

Following a 16-yard touchdown pass from RMU's Chilcott to Chase Jackson, Howard's Ian Wheeler returned the following kickoff 88 yards to the end zone to place the Bison ahead 14-7 in the second quarter. Head Coach Larry Scott talked to Howard Athletics about the momentum shift that followed. “That was a game-changing play” said the Bison's Head Coach. “Explosive plays like that can change the momentum and that was what happened. ”

Following the play, the momentum shift was definitely felt and the Bison began to stifle the Colonials on the defensive end as the defense only gave up 3 more points and limited the Colonials to 43 yards on 25 carries and 221 Total Yards of offense.  Defensive Lineman Darrian Brokenburr, junior linebacker Terrance Hollon, and defensive back Carson Hinton lead the team in tackles.

Up next, the Howard Bison travels to Evanston, Illinois to face FBS foe Northwestern.
