The Los Angeles Lakers continue their four-game road trip in Philadelphia on Monday against the 76ers. They may be without their best player as LeBron James is listed as questionable for the high-profile matchup with a left calf contusion, according to the official NBA injury report. James played 36 minutes on Saturday but will he be able to play against the Sixers?

LeBron James injury status vs. Sixers

This could come down to a game-time decision as James will probably do everything he can to be ready. He's only missed one game so far this season for the Lakers, a Nov. 12 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

It wouldn’t be totally shocking to see James sit out the game although it has big implications for both teams if for nothing else the pedigree that the matchup brings. The Lakers' schedule is full of traveling through the end of the year with 11 of their next 15 games on the road. That could prompt LA to hold back some of its players' limits, including that of LeBron James.

The Lakers have a back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday that throws a bit of a wrench into potential rest plans. They could opt to sit him on Monday and Wednesday in preparation for playing on Thursday after four days of rest. LA shouldn’t get penalized with James carrying an actual injury.

With tipoff looming in less than four hours, the clock is ticking on LeBron James' availability on Monday night. Other Lakers players whose game statuses are up in the air include Anthony Davis and Cam Reddish. Davis is the most likely of the three to play against the Sixers.

It still remains to be seen whether LeBron James or the others will be on the court for the Lakers.
