The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to get a winning streak going against the Carolina Panthers in Week 5. It appears they may be without cornerback Jalen Ramsey once again.

Ramsey has not been able to practice all week due to a back injury. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, he has been ruled out versus the Panthers.

Jaguars announce cornerback Jalen Ramsey is out Sunday vs. Carolina due to his back injury.

It is safe to take the update on Ramsey's situation with a grain of salt. Although head coach Doug Marrone indicated that Ramsey is slated to see a specialist for his back, there is no question that his status is the result of his desire to be traded.

The past couple of weeks have been rather tumultuous for the All-Pro corner. Aside from the back issue, he also left the team to witness the birth of his second child and subsequently missed their Week 4 victory against the Denver Broncos. He has since given little indication that he has changed his mind about wanting to leave Jacksonville.

While there is reportedly no shortage of interest in Ramsey's services, it is rumored that the Jaguars have set an unreasonably high price tag on him. As a result, it seems they are still doing what they can to potentially repair the relationship and get back to the task at hand.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not Ramsey is already past the point of being able to move on from what has transpired in the 2019 NFL season.
