Leonard Fournette has made it into the NFL news cycle but for the wrong reasons. The Jacksonville Jaguars running back was arrested on Thursday after driving on a suspended license.

Fournette reportedly had a suspended license due to failure to pay a speeding ticket that he received last November. This doesn't bode well for Fournette after he's already had a dissolving relationship with the Jaguars organization.

The young running back was released on a $1,500 bond and the team released a statement on the matter.

“The Jacksonville Jaguars are aware of the situation involving running back Leonard Fournette and are continuing to gather more information. No further comment will be provided at this time.”

It's unknown if the Jaguars were aware of his speeding ticket last November. Also, the NFL could get involved in this situation with their personal conduct policy.

Last season, Fournette missed eight games due to injury and was also suspended by the Jaguars for leaving the sideline to get involved in a brawl against the Buffalo Bills.

As a result, the Jaguars voided the rest of the guarantees in Fournette's contract. Fournette is still fighting the team's resolution.

There were talks that Jacksonville could look to trade Fournette this past season. They decided not to but this situation doesn't help Fournette's case at all.

The talented running back was likely moving towards trying to receive a contract extension soon since he is still on his rookie contract.

Unfortunately, this arrest will likely cause Fournette to struggle to find an extension any time soon.
