The Jacksonville Jaguars have a couple of key defensive players that they need to pay in cornerback Jalen Ramsey and defensive lineman Yannick Ngakoue, and linebacker Myles Jack, who just received a contract extension himself, hopes the Jaguars can get it done:

Ramsey has been at odds with Jacksonville over his current deal throughout the offseason, going as far to arrive at training camp in an armored bank truck.

Ramsey has two years remaining on his contract and is set to earn $3.6 million this season and $13.7 million in 2020, but he has set himself up for a big payday beyond that, and it's questionable as to whether or not the Jaguars will be the team to give it to him.

As for Ngakoue, the pass rusher is entering the final year of his deal and will earn $2.025 million.

Both players have Pro Bowl appearances under their belts, with Ramsey making two straight trips in 2017 and 2018, including a First-Team All-Pro appearance in the former year. Ngakoue made the Pro Bowl in 2017.

The Jaguars are coming off of a thoroughly disappointing 2018 campaign in which they won just five games. They will open up their regular season against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
