Jacksonville Jaguars first-round pick Josh Allen played linebacker with the Kentucky Wildcats but that didn't stop him from finishing at the top of edge pressures for players in the 2019 draft.

According to Pro Football Focus, Allen had a 23.5 percent pressure rate and that is going to be an issue for offensive lines across the league.

The Jaguars use a 4-3 defense while he played a 3-4 defense at Kentucky so there are questions how exactly he will fit into the scheme. Jaguars coach Doug Marrone isn't too concerned about where he plays he just knows that he is going to see the field a lot.

“I think as far as position, you see a lot of people are saying outside linebacker and he put his hands in the ground on third down and when he rushes the quarterback,” Marrone said via ESPN. “For us, we will get him on the field [and] we will put him in the best positions to give us the best opportunity to stop the run and get after the quarterback.”

Allen is excited to hear from coaches that they will use him in different spots because he knows he is more than just a one trick pony.

“A lot of teams wanted me as a one-trick pony and I feel like I always strive to be great, but it would be hard because [being a one-trick pony] is not what I do. I feel like Jacksonville will let me do what I want to do and they want to utilize my talents.”

As long as Allen keeps putting pressure quarterbacks he is going to be a staple on the field and will quickly turn into a fan favorite.
